In the beginning, we experienced so many challenges in our lives, I was beginning to think that there was no end to them all.  Stress and depression were starting to win.  Then all of a sudden, inside of us, something took over – a longing for Peace.

Instead of dwelling on all the bad and feeling sorry for ourselves, we decided to turn it all around.  Waking up with a happy thought was a goal for each and every day.  We know it sounds funny to some and a little weird, but once our eyes opened in the morning, we would lay there and be happy that our eyes actually opened.  We felt this was a great start to the day…we made it to another day and that was all that mattered.

After a while, this exercise became more gratifying; we were then happy that we could actually get out of bed, where some people suffering couldn’t.  We were grateful to be able to sit up, put our feet on the floor and stand up and face the day.

Placing a Good Vibe on the start to your day has more power that one could realize – it sets a tone.

As I’m writing this, I feel so grateful that I am actually able to sit down and write out our experiences.  Many have obstacles in their lives where they can’t even do what I am doing right now.  It is the little things in life that we take for granted, many of us are striving for items, things, and more money that it blinds us as to what really is important.

Our goal in life is to eventually live a life of simplicity, which in turn will give us so much more than what money can buy.
