I am happy to announce the first book to the In My Closet series will be available in July 2017 on Amazon! I will post the link once it becomes available! Thank you for all your support and encouragement!
The one question that will always come up is, “Why Hurt One Another?” Why is it necessary to hurt others and bring them down to make yourself feel better. We are all here in this World to survive and to find the true meaning of life – that is the Bigger Picture! Not who has more power, more physical strength, or more manipulation – the key is who has the bigger Heart! The World together should have one big Heart when living together.
The pain I see in the news, the conflict, and everything else negative is really getting out of control. Is it really worth it?
Hurting others to show your strength in all aspects of life is such waste; just think of if we all put our efforts into loving, caring, and being there for each other in a positive way, what the World would be like.
Ailments and disease is enough to cause hurt in one’s life, we don’t need intentional hurt to add more stress to our lives.
All it takes is one person at a time to understand the concept of living a life of Peace and compassion for other people. Don’t hurt one another – love one another and you will see how contagious this will be. Good Vibes Only!!
Every single time I tell this next story, I cry. These are not tears of sadness, but tears of heartfelt compassion and warmth.
Ten years ago, my husband and I were living in Kelowna, British Columbia where the homeless population is quite high. We decided to go to our local Tim Horton’s coffee shop to pick ourselves up a coffee to have while we went to a variety of Yard Sales (one of our passions).
When we arrived at the Tim Horton’s we saw a large number of homeless men and women with their grocery carts filled with their belongings. We both looked at each other and knew what each other was thinking at that point; we went into the Tim Horton’s and bought them all coffee and donuts.
We just wanted to do something nice for them, but didn’t expect what came next. This one man who must have been in his mid 50’s, graciously accepted the coffee and donut, but then in his next breath said, “thank you so much for your generosity, I just received this sandwich from another person, may I offer it to you in my appreciation for the coffee and donut?” I couldn’t believe how the tears just started pouring out of my eyes, in fact just thinking about it now, I’m still tearing up. This man wanted to do an Act of Kindness for us in giving us his sandwich.
We decided at that time to “have a coffee and a donut” with these gracious people who showed so much appreciation for our kindness. We sat and enjoyed conversation and listening to their stories; all they wanted was someone to actually take the time to listen to them. Acts of Kindness just takes you 5 minutes of your time.
The Gift of this story is it doesn’t matter who you are, rich or poor, you can do an Act of Kindness that can stay with someone for the rest of their lives. Good Vibes Only were shared that day and I will never forget it!
The Gift of Intuition is just that, a True Gift! Intuition does not mean you are psychic, it just means you are in tune with what your mind, body, and soul are trying to tell you! Listen!!!
I used to say, “I wish I would have listened to my gut!” Over time, I started listening more and more, and I will never regret having done so. The questions in life of “should I?” or “could I?” will be answered in a split second if you just tap into your intuition (gut) and listen for the answer.
I’m now at a point in my life where I rely on my intuition every single day and to be honest with you, it answers me in a “positive” way. When I follow what my intuition is telling me, it never guides me into a negative situation; funny I know, but true!
Sometimes, we have to do, what we have to do, even though our intuition is telling us otherwise – this creates more experiences. Even though, at times life gives us situations where “we need to do what we have to do”, this only creates experience to get us to do “what we want to do”…big difference.
It is during this time, where we do what we have to do, our intuition grows more and more, which creates a positive, even though we may not see it at the time.
Every chance I get in my life I follow my intuition and I am at a point in my life now where I look forward to it speaking to me. Good Vibes Only come to me when I listen to my intuition and I know it will for you as well.
I have my intuition to be grateful for, as it brought me to you with The Good Vibes Only Roadshow.
Life is filled with so many experiences, people, personalities, beliefs, and feelings; over time you will see how some just don’t mix well with the other. It is about choice, what brings you happiness, and living a life of Peace that will help to clear your own World of these things which bring too much drama.
If someone brings drama to the table during a situation that is deemed negative, please remind yourself, that this person just hasn’t grown enough yet to see what truly is important; they are stuck. By saying, “No” to drama and continuing on with your own Peaceful path, they will soon realize what they are missing. By saying, “No” to their drama, does not mean that you do not want them in your life, it means you love them enough to let them live in their own World which they have chosen.
I suppose the way I look at it is this, we cannot change who, what, where, why, and how people would like to live their lives, it is making our own choices to stay true to who we are without disrespecting one another that counts.
Quite often those that love the drama in life, are trying to drag others into their World without letting them have a choice, but if you say “No” to the negative behaviour then your absence in their World will soon become a void which they will miss. By saying, “No” to drama and the people who cause it, you will be respected more than if you bought into their World of chaos.
There are people in my life who live for the drama with gossip, hurting feelings, and causing emotional pain; I love them enough to let them go and know over time they will outgrow this stage in their lives, hence the reason I say “No” to drama and “Yes” to Good Vibes Only!
I wish them the very best in life and know they will learn from this stage, but in the meantime, I’m loving my life of Good Vibes Only and will continue to pursue the ultimate dream of Peace!
It is so important in life to know when to calm down. Experiencing stress is not the only reason to calm down; it is important even if you are having a great day to take time to calm your mind and have moments of silence.
Distractions happen daily; whether it is in the news, with a person, your work, family, or heaven forbid traffic! Getting into the habit of “calming down” will become routine in your life; eventually you won’t even realize you are doing it. Such an important exercise to do daily.
Daily “calming down” sessions will not only help build a peaceful life, it will also help you to have a peaceful persona.
Good Vibes are based on knowing to calm down and focus on positivity, by calming down you will not allow negative energy enter your World.
There are great meditative lessons one can take in remaining calm, but it all centers around knowing how to breathe and knowing when to take a moment to yourself.
Today, Good Vibes Only is harnessing the act of Calming Down and would love to encourage you all to set aside some time in your day to calm your mind.
Love and Peace!
I’ve been fortunate to have had the Love of a Pet! No words can express how grateful I feel for having had and still have pets in my life. The comfort and love they give is truly unconditional.
I’ve shared some pictures of inspiration for pets; I hope you have had the opportunity to experience what a true gift it is to love a pet.
Good Vibes Only!
This may sound funny to you, but have you ever hugged a tree?
When I was in my early 20’s, I was experiencing a massive amount of anxiety and panic in my life. I couldn’t seem to get a grip on why I was experiencing this, so I went to speak with a Counsellor. I learned that “fear” was causing my problems and the Counsellor suggested I take a weekend to myself and find a place where I could relax and just be.
I decided to go to a wonderful little town called, Nelson in the Province of British Columbia. In the summer, Nelson has a Tree Planting industry which I was fortunate enough to witness. In “just being”, I was walking around this beautiful community and admiring absolutely everything, when I saw some Tree Planters. They were the most relaxed people I had ever seen in my life.
During my walk, I went into the local bookstore and was asking the owner, who these people were, as I had never met a Tree Planter before. She explained to me just what they do and why they do it. In her next breath, she looked at me and said, “you look like you have way too much on your mind, I can see it in your eyes. Have you ever hugged a Tree?” I suppose I was starting to show my anxiety and I didn’t blame her for mentioning it, in fact I appreciated her observation; her comment truly changed my life.
I asked her why she asked me if I had ever hugged a tree. Her response, “it will change your life, your fears, and you”.
Hearing her mention “fear”, I paid for my purchases in her bookstore, smiled at her with tears in my eyes, and found the perfect place and hugged that tree as if it was a friend I hadn’t seen in 20 years! There are no words to express the energy I received from that tree, I may have looked like a lunatic hugging a tree, but to be honest, it really didn’t matter to me; I was feeling such positive energy from this tree that I didn’t want to let go.
I’ve learned over the years, there are many ways to deal with anxiety, stress and fear, and I’ve researched almost all of them, but nothing compares to the comfort I received after hugging that tree.
I allowed myself to be vulnerable, I allowed myself to be open enough to try new things, and I allowed myself to find comfort which was needed.
With Good Vibes Only in my heart, I say this too you, “Hug a Tree”, you are not only receiving a great vibration, but you will feel as though you have received all the wisdom an old tree can give to you.
It took me a very long time to grasp the concept of loving myself. I didn’t realize the true meaning of why I should love myself. It was more than just enjoying or liking what I was doing. It was about “me” as a person and who I was in my heart.
We can love what we do during the day, what we do for a career, and who we love in our lives, but to truly understand the meaning of Loving Yourself takes years of experiences to figure out – at least it did for me.
A person is constantly changing over time, experiences help us to do this, but if you can dive into who you are in your heart and love that person, then as we change with experience the love you have for yourself will guide you.
Quite often we get caught up in so much going on in life, that we never take the time to really think about who we are and who we want to be in our Hearts. We are blinded by who we are on the outside; what looks good on me, am I pretty, am I too fat, am I, am I, and am I some more! This concept is what society would like you to believe, that what we wear makes who the person is and this is just not true.
Love Yourself and no matter who you are on the outside, your love for yourself will shine beyond the shell!
