The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – Something Wonderful Is About To Happen

Something Wonderful Is About To Happen!!  I wake up and say this to myself every single day!  Boy has that helped to set the tone for the day!  Pure Excitement!

This pure excitement brings on more smiles, laughter, and happiness for the day!  The one thing you will notice, once you start doing this, will be the look on other people’s faces.  At first, they will look at you as if you have lost your marbles, as they won’t be able to figure out why you are smiling so much.  Then when the realization of the possibility of you “just being that happy” kicks in, then you will notice them smiling more as well.  Contagious!!

When you wake up with this attitude, you will also attract great things into your life.  Good things “will” actually start to happen.  You are going to be like a magnet attracting all that is positive.

In essence, knowing you will be attracting great things into your life by trying this easy exercise out, then Something Wonderful Is About To Happen!!  Have lots of fun!  Enjoy every moment!

Wishing you all Good Vibes Only!!

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – Rock n’ Roll

When I go to work and I’m sitting in my office; I need my Rock n’ Roll on!  I love all kinds of music; I truly do!  For me, there is something about 1980’s Hair Bands!!  Gets me every single time!  Put a little Poison, Motley Crue, AC/DC, Def Leppard, Aerosmith on, and well, you get the picture!  Put it to you this way, my typing speed goes way up!

Looking back to being in high school in the 1980’s, and I know this sounds funny, but not only did I love this type of music, but I wanted to look just like them!  I wanted the long hair and the flawless make-up!  The 80’s brought such liberation!  New looks, new fashion, new sound, and a whole new way of thinking.

My creativity was born during this time; not only was I slowly becoming in tune to who I really was, but my creative mind was kicking into high gear.  It took me a while to catch up to all the creativity that was going on in my head, but eventually I did.

Music has been a huge inspiration to me; I loved all the sounds, the styles, and the way music was a great outlet for expression.

I will forever be grateful to the 1980’s, for many reasons, but the #1 reason today is how this music gets me through each day, it puts a smile on my face and gets me up dancing.

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow North American Tour will have a music element to it as well.  We are looking forward to bringing something to people that is unique, creative and has an element that will be interesting to everyone.

With Good Vibes Only I wish you a day filled with your favorite music!

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – Opening Doors

It is so important to create open doors for yourself.  Earlier in my career, I was under the impression that you needed to wait for a “door to be opened” for you when thinking about options or advancement.

This is not the case.

There is no reason why you cannot create doors to be opened.  Why Not!!  Create as many doors as possible; when you are ready, open them up!

There are enough people out there that would like to think they can control your advancement in life; not just in your career, but the reality of it is that you have all the control.  See what you are passionate about, where you would like to see yourself in years to come, or simply see what you would like to do today.  Those “things” you are thinking about are “doors!”  Those are your doors and yours only!  When you feel the time is right to open them, then do so!  There is nothing stopping you!

When I look at my “open doors” list, it is endless; there are so many options out there in the World to experience.  Take back the key to the door, and open it when you are ready.

One of the major doors I am looking forward to looking at wide open, is The Good Vibes Only Roadshow North American Tour!  Right now, the door is starting to squeak open a little every single day, which is a wonderful feeling!  I know once that door is wide open, it will be the most freeing feeling!

Just remember, doors don’t need to be opened all the way the minute you want it too; sometimes it takes a while for it to open, but as long as you are making steps daily, then you will have no regrets!

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – Just Like Riding A Bike

I wish I had a dime for every single time I heard the phrase, “don’t worry, it’s just like riding a bike.”  I felt like saying, “you obviously haven’t flown over the handle bars before!!”  Something I really didn’t want to entertain doing again!

On a serious note, life really is like riding a bike; you must continue to get back on that bike and keep trying.  Try new things!!  If you give up on something important to you, then you would never really know or experience the greatness of that “something”.  You would never know the joy, the love, and the over-the-top happiness it could bring to your life.  Now, missing out on the greatness would actually be like flying over the handle bars!

We live life knowing, things don’t happen overnight; it’s when we give up we never really know what we are missing out on.  I would much rather keep trying, and whether or not it turns out to be something great or so-so, at least I kept riding along until I figured it all out.

Once you learn to ride a bike, you never really forget how to do it.  Just like trying new things, you will never forget your first experience at it.  You may not get it right the first time, but in time you will get the hang of it.

There is mystery in life, the unknown, the should’ve, could’ve, would’ve and the fear of failure.  What have you really got to lose?  Do not let the negativity of fear stop you from creating experiences.  By not giving up, that bike you keep riding will become Golden!

With Good Vibes Only – Get Back On That Bike!  It will be worth it!!!

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow -Daily Journal

The best thing I ever started to do was to keep a daily journal.  It is more than a diary; it is all your hopes and dreams.

I started a daily journal many years ago; not only did it have in it what I experienced each day, but it had all my goals, dreams, hopes, and aspirations.

As time went by, and I found myself needing to heal certain areas in my life, I used my journal in a whole new way.  We all experience people in our lives that set out to cause negativity in our World, and at times, they are unapproachable to discuss these issues with.  My journal then became my sounding board.

I would write letters to these people in my journal, not to be sent to them, but instead to write out all I was feeling about them or the situation they created in my life.  We all have people like that, at some point in our life, but not all relationships can heal at the time we need them too.  Writing letters to them in my journal became therapeutic for me.  I was able to write out my true feelings, release the pain and the bricks from my shoulders, and then before I knew it, I was able to forgive.

Some people do not realize what they have done to a person, until later on in life; others can figure it all out sooner, but for the most part, the ego gets in the way.  I suppose we can all be guilty of this, at some point in our lives, but sometimes by owning what we have done to others, shows that person they truly matter.

In time, those that matter, do own up to what they have done; it could have been such a small little argument, but they could have been afraid to even deal with it.  We all learn as we go, we heal as we go, and have our own realizations as we go.  It is all about time.

My journal became like a great friend to me; I was able to vent, heal, and then forgive.

My journal was the foundation for being able to start The Good Vibes Only Roadshow.  I find it is important to create outlets for ourselves; journals are the first step!

With Good Vibes Only I Wish You A Fabulous Sunday!

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – Grandma and Juicy Fruit

I am a firm believer to take a moment each day, to think back to your childhood memories, and cherish all the good.

For me, I will never forget my Mom taking me out to my Grandma’s house on the farm.  I loved going there to see her; every time we went to visit, meant I could run around with all her dogs on the farm.  I am a “HUGE” dog lover!  Dogs were always my comfort in life!

In elementary school, I was a chubby kid; although I was happy with who I was, my Mom always wanted me to lose, “just a little bit of weight”.  At the time, I always thought my Mom wanted me to lose weight for what I looked like on the outside, but in fact she was more concerned about the effects of my weight for my health.  I figured that out later in life, but as a kid I didn’t get that concept.  This was another reason I loved going to the farm to visit my Grandma.

You see, when my Grandma would hear my Mom tell me I couldn’t have one of her cookies because of “watching my weight”, she would always have this view to share with me:

“You don’t need to diet, just suck it in Jacqueline!”

I would have a huge smile on my face, sucked it in, and she would then give me a pack of Juicy Fruit gum which she always kept on hand.

I learned at a very young age, due to my Grandma’s wisdom, it is all in your attitude!  Having a fun spirit, a free spirit, and a loving spirit, you can conquer anything!  I’ve kept that piece of my Grandma with me to this day!  When you are happy and not putting pressure on yourself, then even weight issues will no longer be issues.

So today, in honor of my Grandma, I think I will go and buy a pack of Juicy Fruit with Good Vibes Only!

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – Facing Fear

Today has been a bit of a wake up call for my family and I, in more ways than one.  Together we (my husband, our daughter, and I) manage an apartment building with 130 apartments in it; today we faced the sound of the fire alarms going off.

Fortunately, because of an ice storm we had last night, the build up of ice had triggered the sensors numerous times to set the fire alarm off;  we did not have an actual fire.  Very grateful!

The tenants in our building are 75% Senior Citizens; the ages in this 75% range from 65 to 101 years old.  I will be honest, the first sound of the fire alarm made me fearful for everyone in the apartment building, but especially for the seniors who are over 80 years old and have mobility problems.  The reality of the situation frightened me, not for me, but for them.

Once we were all in the lobby area, I also saw some frightened children crying; between the elderly and the crying children, it hit me – fear can easily take over a situation and how hard it is to not let it show.

We were speaking and comforting tenants with anxiety and panic issues, so much that we forgot about our own.  When we focused on them, we forgot about ourselves.  I suppose our care and concern for our tenants took over, and to me I am extremely grateful for doing this with my husband and our daughter.

Once it was established the actual cause of the alarms going off, and everyone was back in their apartments, I came into our own apartment and sat on the couch and found myself in shock at what I just experienced; not so much the panic of it all, but in fact watching 130 family’s actually come together as one.  In fear, all their differences were non-existent; why did it take fear to bring people together?  My answer to this question – they needed each other.

At the end of the day, we all need each other, but let us need each other in joy and happiness and not in fear.

Wishing you all an endless amount of Good Vibes – I am and will be forever grateful for my family, our tenants and all of you!

The Good Vibes Only Roadshow – Home Is Where The Heart Is

There was a time where I was led to believe, once you had a home, you lived in it for ever and ever.  This is why it was called, “home”; the truth is completely different.

Home Is Where The Heart Is!

My life, took me to many different cities, where I lived in many homes.  To me, I was on an adventure and every time I moved to a new home, gave me the opportunity to dive into more creativity when decorating or settling in too my new place.  The most important thing I thought of, was how grateful I was to have my family moving with me.

My home had my heart, not because of the four walls, but because I was fortunate to have my family with me.  I moved so much, I should have owned a moving company, but seriously, I moved to not only grow with my career at the beginning, but to eventually care-give for both my parents before they passed away.  I have no regrets in my decisions and that is what counts!

It didn’t matter the circumstance, I harnessed the opportunity to live in communities that were new to me.  Even when I moved to look after my parents when they were diagnosed with Cancer, I made the best of this situation.  My parents were old tradition, where you stayed in one home and that was it, but when I moved in with them to look after them, I turned their home into something fun.  I figured by bringing a little change in color and decor would put a smile on their faces.  I’m happy to report, it did in fact help them to see just how a change in wall color could bring so much positive to their World which unfortunately had changed.

Home Is Where The Heart Is!  It doesn’t matter where you live or how many times you move, the truth is, as long as you have heart, everything turns out great!

It has been a long time (14 years for my Mom and 12 1/2 years for my Dad) since my parents passed away, but I will always remember how, by even changing the color on their walls, brought to them a warmer Heart!  The color took their minds off of the battles they were fighting.  I could not physically “move” my parents, so I suppose I brought the “move” to them.  I created a new home for them, with their already existing home.

If you don’t have the opportunity to move to a new home, that is okay and totally understandable.  I get it!  If you can, I would highly recommend a little change in color every now and then; makes you feel like you are actually living somewhere else without moving.

There are so many great things that come when you move to a new home or community, or even change up your existing home; new adventure, new environment, and of course a new home to live in.  The best thing that happens, is your heart grows warmer and more fulfilled.
